We’re sisters, and our love for jewellery started long before Incador did.

Growing up, we were incredibly lucky to spend our childhood across different parts of Asia and Europe. Whenever we went somewhere new, we would collect jewellery together. Over time, those pieces became much more than something beautiful to wear. They reminded us of places, people and different chapters of our lives. That feeling has always stayed with us, and it’s a big part of why we believe jewellery can hold so much emotion and memory. In 2020, we both moved to London for university, and London is now the place we call home. It’s also where Incador was born.

Our backgrounds have shaped the way we think about materials. Alice worked in the recycling sector after university and always knew that, whatever she went on to build, she wanted it to contribute to a better planet. We both became increasingly interested in the idea of repurposing materials that already exist and giving them a new life, rather than always looking to extract something new.

That thinking eventually became one of the foundations of Incador. Our mission is simple: to make recycling vogue. We want to show that recycled materials can belong in fine jewellery and feel every bit as considered, beautiful and luxurious.

As founders, we naturally gravitate towards different parts of the business. Karen is more focused on design and operations, while Alice spends more of her time working with clients and developing the business. We’re very different in many ways, but that balance is also what makes building Incador together so special.

One of our proudest milestones so far was being invited to deliver a keynote at Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 2026 Climate Summit, where we spoke about Incador, circular materials and our ambition to make recycling feel desirable. It was an incredibly surreal moment for a business that began with two sisters, a shared love of jewellery and an idea we believed could be done differently.

Today, we’re still closely involved in every part of Incador, from the first design conversation through to the finished piece. More than anything, we want to create jewellery that feels personal to the person wearing it, with a story behind it that is worth knowing.
